POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Quality Assurance (QA) engineering role plays an important part in our company’s software development lifecycle. In this role, you will develop and execute manual and automated tests to ensure product quality within our fast-paced development process. You will be joining a talented, well-rounded QA team and reporting to the Director of Quality. The software product-under-test consists of Apple and Android mobile apps, client-side UIs, server-side software components, and administrative UI consoles.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

This role lives and breathes testing by performing functional testing across the stack, including web browser-based client, server-side, and mobile device software. You will develop test strategies and approaches, create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases and identify, design, develop, implement, and execute manual and, where possible, automated testing frameworks to facilitate smoke and regression testing.

 

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

●      Education – Minimum - Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

●      Experience – 3-5 years in Quality Assurance or in an Engineering/Technical Services role

  • Experience with software QA tools and processes

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence)

  • Working knowledge of test management software, ideally ones that integrate with Jira (e.g. qTest, Zephyr, Ranorex, Xray)

  • QA experience in ISO and/or FDA regulated environments

  • QA experience in a start-up environment

  • iOS and Android device testing

  • Experience using Github

  • Docker container knowledge

  • Container orchestration (Kubernetes, EKS/ECS) knowledge

  • Knowledge and experience with DICOM, PACS and HL7

  • Knowledge and experience with config json/html files

  • Experience with EHR workflows and integrations (Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, etc.)

  • Experience implementing automated testing infrastructures

  • Experience with key-value memory databases (e.g. Redis)

  • Experience with relational databases (e.g. MySQL/PostgreSQL)

  • Experience with testing tools in continuous integration

  • Strong knowledge of Unix/LINUX commands

  • Multi-browser testing pitfalls and tools

  • Mobile device testing strategies and tools

  • Multilingual testing strategies and tools

  • Security level testing, including browser certs, vulnerabilities, penetration, risks

  • Agile software lifecycle experience

  • Experience testing in cloud infrastructures (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Understanding of PKI (Public-Key Infrastructure) and SSL/TLS encryption

  • Networking knowledge

  • Knowledge of medical imaging workflows

  • Bachelor’s or Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
